- Participating in and organizing the Annual statutory audit of the firm’s books of account

- Liaising with the External Auditors in respect of the firm’s annual statutory audit

- Participating in and organizing the various Tax audits (FIRS & LIRS) of the firm’s books of account

- Reviewing monthly payment schedule for settlement

- Preparing monthly payroll

- Ensuring that the firm’s assets are tagged, properly managed and accounted for through the Asset
register

- Posting transactions, checking for correctness and appropriateness of attached documentation

- Preparing financial statements, management accounts, Finance reports and any ad hoc reports

- Accounting for the firm’s financial assets such as tangible, and intangible assets and also including its
investments in line with the respective financial policies

- Accounting for Receivables and Withholding Tax credit notes as well as Accounting for Payables and
other liabilities

- Preparing and updating Annual Budget with inputs from Admin and IT departments

- Preparing and updating Directors’ monthly Cash calls to fund budget/operations

- Reconciling the budget to the actual results of operations

- Having an oversight function on payroll preparation and administration

- Ensuring prompt remittances of (VAT, WHT, PAYE, Pension and Other statutory remittances)

- Ensuring that the internal controls over the firm’s assets and resources are functioning and effective

- Performing any other duties that may be assigned to him/her by the firm’s management or

Job Requirement
we are looking for a candidate who fulfill these requirements
-The preferred candidate must possess the following essential experience, skills and knowledge;

- First Degree in Finance or a related field

- Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)

- At least have a progressive 5 years of experience in the finance function of a reputable
organization

- Understand the financial accounting processes, and audit methodology

- Must be able to interpret and apply transactions as it relates to International Financial
Reporting Standards (IFRS)

- Show a good understanding of ERP Platforms (such as QuickBooks) and leverage them to
simplify reports and improve processes
7
- Must display a good understanding of the Nigerian Tax system
8
- Must be able to display financial skills, strong communication skills and commercial acumen
9
- Experience in data analysis and strategy formulation
10
- Have a good understanding of Microsoft office packages (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc
